I love half moon pose. It helps me remain conscious of the delicate weight and balance of the universe.Tipping over into it used to remind me of the "imma little tea cup" song. That turned into the visualization of all the weighted tension pouring out of my crown and ears as I revolve onto a new plane and perspective of weight distribution.

We hold a lot of emotion in our hips and legs which can lead to that heavy feeling of depression and feeling "stuck". Half moon is great for relieving that lower cakral pressure and redistributing the weight and providing compression for a therapeutic release at the same time giving the other side of the body a stretch and muscular reinforcement necessary for good posture.

How rarely we get to experience life from a different plane. It can change your physical perspective while simultaneously stimulating the mental and emotional leading to a broader view. Learning to incorporate new and unexplored perspectives into the balance of your understanding of life and what is possible can lead to the dissolution of what was perceived to be impossible.

Here's a video of an easy but still effective half moon pose, great for buiding up to the full pose or as a quick restorative posture.
